FALLEN PATRIOTS //
Website Redesign & Platform Migration
RESTON // VIRGINIA
The Setup
Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation provides college scholarships and educational support to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
The mission is powerful—and deeply important. But their existing website (built on Squarespace) was starting to create friction:
Limited flexibility for integrations
A more complex-than-necessary enrollment process
Missed opportunities to capture and convert growing traffic
The ask: rebuild the site to better support the people it serves—while increasing awareness and making it easier for families to take the next step.
The Approach
Start With the Mission
This isn’t a brand that needs reinvention—it needs clarity, accessibility, and trust. Every decision was grounded in making the experience:
Easier to navigate
More intuitive for families
Better aligned with the emotional weight of the mission
Migrate for Flexibility + Scale
We moved the site from Squarespace → WordPress to unlock:
Seamless integration with third-party tools and applications
Greater control over user flows
A more scalable foundation for future growth
Simplify Enrollment
A major focus was reducing friction in the scholarship enrollment process. We streamlined pathways so users can:
Quickly understand eligibility
Move through steps with confidence
Access what they need without overwhelm
Clear structure. Fewer drop-offs. More support where it matters.
Design for Awareness + Action
The site was restructured to better serve both sides of the audience:
Families seeking support
Donors and partners looking to contribute
That meant:
Stronger content hierarchy
Clear, intentional calls-to-action
A balance between storytelling and usability
What Came Through
A website that:
Better reflects the weight and credibility of the organization
Makes it easier for families to access life-changing support
Supports increased traffic and awareness without losing clarity
Performance improvements and SEO enhancements led to stronger visibility, more qualified traffic, and reduced bounce rates—helping more users reach the information they need, faster. And a platform behind it that:
Gives the team more flexibility moving forward
Reduces technical limitations and workarounds
Creates a stronger foundation for growth
Most importantly—it removes barriers at the moments that matter most.
“She didn’t just rebuild our website—she helped us show up better everywhere. From enrollment to social, everything is clearer, more consistent, and easier for families to navigate.””
